Campaign Details
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The recent devastation in Gaza has left universities in ruins and hospitals non-functional. To address this critical situation, the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA) and the Jordanian Medical Association (JMA) organized the First International Conference dedicated to rebuilding Gaza’s healthcare system, held in Amman on February 7, 2024.
Following this pivotal event, NAAMA is launching a fundraiser to support Gaza’s medical students in continuing their education at medical schools in nearby countries. These students are the future of Gaza’s healthcare system and are crucial for rebuilding it.
The Crisis
- Destruction of Educational Institutions
- Healthcare Collapse
- Student Displacement
Our Mission
We aim to use your donations to support:
- Scholarships and Tuition: Helping students enroll in alternative institutions or continue online.
- Educational Resources: Providing textbooks, medical equipment, and other essentials.
- Living Expenses: Covering housing, food, and other necessities.
The Impact
Before the war, Gaza had two medical schools with around 3,000 medical students, including 1,000 in their clinical years who can greatly benefit from your help. While basic year students can continue their studies virtually, when possible, those in their clinical years need hospital placements to complete their training.
