A message from the President
Dear NAAMA Members:
To all our members who are observing the holy month of Ramadan starting March 23rd, we wish you a peaceful and happy Ramadan. In addition, Mother’s Day was celebrated on March 21st across the Arab world. It coincides with the beginning of the beautiful spring season. On this occasion, I want to wish all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day (عيد أم سعيد).
As the national president of NAAMA, I am pleased to inform you that our Foundation successfully raised $127,483 thanks to your support to help in the current situation in Syria and Turkey. The earthquake that recently struck these areas has caused destruction and devastation. Our hearts go out to all those affected and we stand in solidarity with our fellow Arab healthcare professionals who are working tirelessly to provide aid and support during this difficult time.
I also want to remind all our members that it’s time to renew your membership or join our nonprofit organization if you haven’t already done so. By becoming a member of NAAMA, you’ll have access to various resources, networking opportunities, and events that enable you to connect with other Arab American healthcare professionals in your field.
Furthermore, we have two exciting events coming up that we would like you to attend. Our 45th National Medical Convention, New Wave Medicine, will be held during the Labor Day weekend in San Diego. It’s a great opportunity to learn from experts in various fields of medicine and connect with healthcare professionals from across the country. Registration is already open, and we encourage everyone to sign up as soon as possible. Please note that hotel rooms are limited, so don’t delay!
Additionally, our 33rd International Medical Convention is coming up in Cairo, Egypt, at the end of December. It’s a chance to connect with Arab American doctors from all over the world and learn about the latest advances in medicine. We encourage all our members to participate in both conferences and take advantage of these amazing opportunities.
Finally, I want to thank all our members for their continued support and dedication to our organization’s mission. We are committed to promoting quality healthcare and advancing the interests of Arab American medical professionals. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our patients and our communities.
Thank you for all your support and help,
Sincerely,
Nahidh Hasaniya, MD, PhD, FACS, FACC, FCCP
