On Friday, May 3, NAAMA and the Wayne State University School of Medicine held a fundraiser to support NAAMA NextGen and the ibn Sina scholarship at WSU. The event, co-hosted by Dr. Michel and Mrs. Sali Hanna, and Dr. Fouad and Mrs. Lina Batah, was a great evening of fun and fellowship, raising over $17,000 in support of NextGen and the ibn Sina scholarship.

Wayne State University’s Ibn Sina Endowed Scholarship in the School of Medicine is designed to encourage and inspire students to honor his legacy of curiosity and inquiry, to one day advance medicine and biomedical science as Ibn Sina did during his time. Preference for the scholarship is given to student members of the National Arab American Medical Association- NAAMA NextGen.
